It didn't take long to find some good links, and within a minute discovered the source of my problem. I went on line and looked for specs on how Keymod works. Surely it's not just held on by the friction of the nuts against the rail is it? Wow, that's crap. I tightened the nuts just enough to remove any slack, and was still able to slide it off. I went home and reattached it, making sure to tighten it well (no loctite yet).Ī few weeks later I'm at the range again, after a few rounds "clang" the thing shoots loose and falls to the ground. ![]() I wasn't sure exactly how far down the rail I wanted it to be, so I hadn't tightened it fully. OK, my fault, I probably didn't tighten it down enough. I attached it to my rail, went to the range, and the thing came loose. ![]() ![]() This was one of the early revisions of the part, before Lanco sold it to B5. It was small, lightweight, fit my hand well, and was designed to directly attach to a Keymod rail. A while ago I purchased a grip stop from Lanco Tactical.
